VAIL, Colo.—Vail Mountain is hosting a homecoming celebration for World Cup ski champion Lindsey Vonn on Sunday.
Vail Resorts Inc. signed a four-year sponsorship deal with Vonn in 2009 for her to represent its resorts, and she has a home at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail.
This season, she became the first American to win four World Cup overall titles. She won 12 events to grab the crown.
To celebrate, Vail Mountain is throwing a public celebration for Vonn, with activities beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday in Arrabelle Square in Lionshead.
