COLORADO SPRINGS —A man and a woman were found dead Saturday afternoon in what police suspect was a possible murder-suicide at a home near The Broadmoor.
Two of the couple’s relatives found the bodies just before 12:30 p.m. in the master bedroom of 20 Highland Street, behind the famed resort, said Colorado Springs police Sgt. Jerry Steckler. A handgun lay between the bodies, he said.
Police are investigating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide, Steckler said.
The man and the woman living in the house hadn’t been heard from Thursday, and a relative tried repeatedly in the past two days to check on them. No one ever answered the door.
