LONGMONT —A 26-year-old Longmont woman accused of hitting her brother in the back of the head with a double-sided ax has been charged with first-degree assault.
and is scheduled to appear in court April 19. Authorities say she hit her brother during an argument about the food situation in the house and about owed money.
Police say doctors determined the man’s wound constituted serious bodily injury and could have been life-threatening.
