COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Fremont County official says one skydiver was killed and an instructor was injured when their main and reserve parachutes tangled during a tandem jump.
Sheriff’s Capt. Don Pinover said Sunday that first-time skydiver was a 35-year-old man from Crested Butte. The Gazette reports ( ) that the 28-year-old instructor—who had more than 650 successful jumps—was taken to a hospital.
