A longtime Boulder County doctor will celebrate with his bride on their 70th anniversary Wednesday before an audience at The Vistas in Longmont assisted living facility.
Byron “Doc” Yost and his wife, Ruth, both 94, have lived at the Longmont facility for about two years. They have four daughters and eight grandchildren.
The Vistas said Doc Yost delivered more than 1,400 babies during his long career in family medicine in the Longmont area.
A member of the Longmont Barbershop Quartet for 40 years, he “will serenade his beautiful wife in front of the entire community,” The Vistas’ spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
The public celebration begins at noon at The Vistas at 2310 Ninth Ave. in Longmont.
