A United Express flight made an emergency landing at Denver International Airport this morning.

Around 8:30 a.m. United Express flight 5912 landed safely after there was a report of smoke on the plane, said Laura Coale, spokeswoman for the airport.

The crew and passenger were evacuated on the runway and safely bused to a nearby concourse.

The flight was scheduled to arrive in Denver from Peoria Ill., Coale said.

The runway was closed for more than two hours. It re-opened at 11 a.m.

The airport’s five additional runways remained open and operations were not been affected, Coale said.
