The venerable ’90s alternative rock band will headline the Morrison venue on July 28, promoter AEG announced this afternoon.

Though the most interesting part of this bill is Denver indie-folk act the Lumineers as support.

With a prominent Red Rocks appearance such as this, the band asserts itself as perhaps the fastest-breaking Colorado act of 2012. Its self-titled debut album has been in stores for less than a week.

Tickets, $36.50-$45, go on sale 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. Early bird tickets, $30, will be available this weekend only.
