GLENWOOD SPRINGS – —Construction on the new Glenwood Springs Library, public parking structure and related projects on Cooper Avenue will not begin the middle of April, as originally planned.
Project officials intended to break ground the week of April 16 on the $11.2 million library and shared Colorado Mountain College facility at Eighth and Cooper, and a new $4 million parking structure at Ninth and Cooper.
However, there are engineering issues related to the dual projects and questions from subcontractors that still need to be addressed before construction can start, said Scott Brown of ARC Integrated Program Management.
A new construction start date has not been set, but the delay should be just a few weeks, Brown said.
