ASPEN, Colo.—Planners for Sky Mountain Park are considering allowing elk hunting on the open space between Aspen and Snowmass Village.
Pitkin County open space officials say the hunting would be used as a wildlife management tool and not for recreation.
According to the Aspen Daily News ( ), planners will begin drafting their final management plan after public hearings close later this month.
