A man packing a “samurai sword” has been arrested in Boulder.

The incident happened about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Pearl Street Mall, according to Boulder police.

When contacted, the sword-carrying pedestrian gave police a “false name.”

He was arrested for “false reporting to authorities,” according to the Boulder Police Department crime blotter. The suspect was not identified.
