Thornton police quickly arrested a possible suspect following a bank robbery late this morning.
At about 11:30 a.m. today, a gun-wielding man robbed the Key Bank at 3505 E. 104th Ave., Thornton police Sgt. Matt Kandt said. No one was injured during the robbery, during which bank clerks apparently slipped a GPS tracking device in with the money.
After the robber fled, officers tracked the GPS signal to the 10600 block of St. Paul Court in Northglenn, about a half mile from the bank. There, police arrested a possible suspect, Kandt said. The street is in a residential neighborhood, but Kandt said he did not know if the suspect was arrested at a house or on the street.
Kandt said the investigation is ongoing.
