Judges will choose the best cats from a 10-ring show as the Foot of the Rockies Cat Club, Inc. and Rocky Mountain Cat Fanciers present the “Springtime in the Rockies” Allbreed Cat Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at the National Western Complex. Up to 41 breeds of cats are eligible to compete in these sanctioned shows, with pedigreed cats judged separately from household pets. Need cat-tastic cat-cessories? It’s like the earlier “Gardener Boot Camp,” only this time exclusively for edibles: Learn how to develop your own custom garden and feed your family in “Building My First Vegetable/Kitchen Garden,” offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21 at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Try a little trail tenderness
The South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the “Be Involved, Give (BIG) Day” for its annual cleanup along Littleton’s Big Dry Creek corridor scheduled 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 21. Individuals, families, schools, businesses and community members are invited to grab their work gloves and help clean the trails. Participants are asked to bring water and sunscreen and dress appropriately (long pants and long-sleeved shirts recommended). Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; lunch is provided.
