AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—Opening arguments have been delayed in the court-martial of an Air Force Academy cadet accused of sexually assaulting a woman in November.

Academy spokesman Meade Warthen tells The Gazette ( ) the court-martial for Stephan Claxton was put on hold indefinitely after lawyers from both sides met Tuesday to discuss motions. He said he didn’t know why opening arguments were postponed.

Prosecutors allege Claxton inappropriately touched a woman who was sleeping in the academy’s dorms after a night of partying. Claxton is also accused of punching a fellow cadet after cadets found Claxton and the woman in the room.
