 Two Colorado teams from Loveland and Berthoud won top honors at the 2012 VEX Robotic World Championship in Anaheim, Calif., Saturday.

“Team Hazardous” from Loveland won in the “Create” category for having the most most creative engineering solution. “Team Palladium” from Berthoud High School won in the “Build” category for its well-crafted robot. The Coloradoans competed against 600 teams from all over the world.

The teams are part of Project Lead The Way, an education nonprofit, focused on science, technology, engineering, and math education curriculum for middle and high schools.
