FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Business owners and the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office are asking Larimer County commissioners to ban panhandlers on a main street through Fort Collins.
People say the panhandlers are scaring away customers and even passing out on their property.
According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald ( ), commissioners are asking the county attorney’s staff to look into what they can do legally to stop the increased problems. Options include expanding trespassing rules on certain locations or banning any activity from intersections because of traffic and safety issues.
