PUEBLO, Colo.—A former employee of the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office has been sentenced to probation after she pleaded guilty to stealing from the evidence room.

Colorado Springs television station KKTV-TV reports ( ) that Tara Adame was sentenced Tuesday to serve 8 years of probation for theft and 5 years of probation for the misconduct.

Court documents say investigators in the case discovered that more than $10,500 and 200 pain pills were missing from at least 15 cases, some of which dated back to 2008.
