GLENWOOD SPRINGS – — Local transportation planners are looking at a combination of three sites in downtown Glenwood Springs to serve as a proposed future multimodal transit facility.
The proposal would include use of the existing Amtrak train station and some of the street frontage west along Seventh Street to provide connections for both Amtrak and Greyhound buses, according to the plan now under consideration.
The city’s soon-to-be decommissioned wastewater treatment plant/parking lot property on Seventh Street would be used as the main transit hub.
And an existing parking area just west of Glenwood Springs City Hall on Eighth Street could also provide expanded parking for the proposed multimodal facility.
