DENVER—The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated right-handed reliever Todd Coffey on Monday from the disabled list where he spent the last two weeks rehabilitating a right knee inflammation.

Coffey was in uniform for the Dodgers series opener at Colorado and would be available without restriction if needed, though Manager Don Mattingly said he’d like to try to ease him back into action if circumstances permit.

The Dodgers made room on the roster for Coffey by optioning right-handed pitcher Nathan Eovaldi to Double-A Chattanooga.
