MedExpress Urgent Care announced today that it has sold six of its Denver-area centers to Concentra.
Being sold are urgent-care centers in Cherry Creek, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, Northglenn, Parker and south Aurora.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Our company continues to expand its geographic footprint between our Florida and mid-Atlantic regions,” said Dean Hatcher, senior vice president of operations at MedExpress. “At this juncture it makes sense to focus our efforts in this area. We feel honored to have been able to serve the Denver community and appreciate the dedication and hard work of our Colorado team.”
Hatcher said that for 10 years while in Colorado, MedExpress’ mission was to deliver “high-quality health care.”
MedExpress owns and operates more than 75 centers and will open as many as 35 more this year, the company said.
Concentra operates 11 urgent-care centers in the Denver metro area and two each in Fort Collins and Colorado Springs.
Concentra says it is the largest provider of occupational and urgent medical care in the United States. The services are offered from more than 320 walk-in clinics in 40 states.
