Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler underwent hip surgery and should be available for the start of training camp next season, the team said Tuesday.
Chandler’s successful surgery came as the Nuggets prepared for a Game 2 NBA playoff game Tuesday night against the Lakers in Los Angeles.
Chandler, 24, tried to against Houston. But three days later the Nuggets decided to sit Chandler out the rest of the season.
He was averaging 9.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in eight appearances this season, after signing with Denver mid-season. He had been playing in China since the NBA lockout.
