DENVER—A Congressional subcommittee is holding a field hearing in Denver to discuss proposed federal regulations for hydraulic fracturing.

Officials from Colorado, Wyoming and Utah are testifying before the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources Wednesday at the Colorado Capitol.

The panel is chaired by Colorado Rep. Doug Lamborn. He chastised Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and the state’s regulators for not attending.

The subcommittee will hold another hearing on government mapping and land inventory on Thursday in Colorado Springs.
