DURANGO, Colo.—A pilot and a passenger walked away from a crash that destroyed their experimental airplane near Durango.
Robert Pavicic of Prescott, Ariz., and his wife, Louise, were flying to Animas Air Park when the pilot missed the middle of the runway and skidded off the side.
According to the Durango Herald ( ), the Lancair Legacy airplane broke apart in several locations, including the tail.
