COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Fort Carson soldier accused of killing a toddler has been charged with murder.
The Gazette ( ) reports Pfc. James A. Price, the child’s uncle, was charged Jan. 24 and is scheduled to appear at a hearing later this month. Lt. Col. Steve Wollman, a Fort Carson spokesman, declined to say why the post didn’t previously release details about the death.
Wollman and charging documents indicate the toddler suffered blunt force trauma to the head at Fort Carson on Nov. 5, though the spokesman declined to release the date of the death.
Wollman says the soldier, who worked in food service, was not arrested.
