BOULDER — Rangers are warning residents to beware of mountain lions after a deer carcass was found in a south Boulder park.
Eric Stone, with the city’s Open Space and Mountain Parks department, told the Daily Camera newspaper that rangers received reports Friday of a mountain-lion cache — where such animals take their kills — and found the carcass in Martin Park.
Stone says a mountain lion probably killed the deer but that there had been no confirmed sightings of the predator.
Students at nearby Creekside Elementary School were not allowed outside for recess Friday, but school continued as scheduled. The Associated Press
