DENVER—A judge has ruled that a woman who accused former Denver Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox of sexual assault can file a lawsuit anonymously.

A jury in March acquitted Cox of all charges and Cox then signed a two-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

The woman’s attorney, Craig Silverman, on Monday says a lawsuit is in the works but has not yet been filed. Denver District Judge Christina Habas last month ruled the woman can file her lawsuit as “Jane Doe.” Habas will privately know the woman’s true identity but agreed with the woman’s attorney that there’s good cause to maintain her privacy.

The woman became pregnant after visiting Cox’s apartment after a night of partying in 2010. Cox’s attorney questioned whether the woman simply didn’t remember having sex.
