The construction worker crushed and killed by a steel beam at a worksite at Boulder Community Foothills Hospital Tuesday was named today by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
Eduardo Castro, 39, when it fell more than 15 feet at about 12:25 p.m., authorities said. He was trapped beneath the wreckage and declared dead at the work site.
A second worker, who has not been named, sustained significant injuries and a third person suffered a minor injury.
The work is part of at the hospital.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the collapse.
The men worked for Boulder-based Wyatt Construction.
