Prom chaperones facing charges over using disinfectant to stop “dirty dancing” in Manitou Springs

MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.—Two prom chaperones are facing charges after they were accused of using a spray disinfectant to stop what they considered dirty dancing by students.

Jennifer Farmer and Hannah Rockey are accused of harassment after students complained that they were ordered to stop dance moves the chaperones considered inappropriate and several students got sprayed. The two women deny the allegations.

According to KKTV-TV ( , some students said the spray got in their eyes and mouths and they had to leave the prom.
