Two new food carts

Boulder Bucha: The women behind Boulder Bucha serve kombucha, a fermented tea that has a vinegar kick, in farmers market flavors. Peach rhubarb. Blueberry basil. Chai. Pear sage. Check out the Wednesday market for the kombucha, but also for the beer garden and the overall experience (read: no waiting in line for half an hour for a bowl of dumplings, no getting trampled by packs of hung-over, texting, shuffling Boulderites). While the Saturday Farmer’s Market in Boulder has become almost disagreeable, the Wednesday market is a joy.

Smashburger on the mall: One of the newest carts to put down stakes — er, wheels — is Smashburger, at 16th and Welton. If you like the aroma of burgers, you will love this addition to the mall; I could smell it a block away. If you’ve got a few bucks in your pocket, it’s tough to be burger-deprived in Denver.
