FRISCO, Colo.—Water providers are pondering a proposal that would allow swimmers in one of the top sources of drinking water for the Colorado Front Range.
Officials say there are no longer water-quality concerns associated with human contact in the water supply from Dillon Reservoir. They’re considering allowing swimming, wading and wind-surfing as permitted activities, and could pass a resolution as soon as July 4.
According to the Summit Daily News ( ), Denver Water officials say they are open to change, but warn it would require constant monitoring.
