DENVER—Denver International Airport officials say an airline employee has been taken to a hospital after crashing a baggage vehicle into a fuel pump, sparking a small fire.

The extent of injuries and the person’s employer weren’t immediately released.

Airport spokeswoman Laura Coale says the employee was driving a baggage tug that ran into a pump at a fueling station for vehicles Monday. The crash sparked a fire that was quickly extinguished. Coale says the fueling station is far from airplanes and passengers.

It wasn’t immediately known what led to the crash.
