Nicasio deserved a victory in Los Angeles on the last road trip. Nicasio owns a 1.31 ERA in visiting parks this season, second-best in the National League. The right-hander insists that his right hip is OK after getting struck by a line drive in his last outing against the Diamondbacks, which contributed to his abbreviated start. He faces Ricky Nolasco, who is looking to become the Marlins’ all-time wins leader. He shares the mark at 68 victories with left-hander Dontrelle Willis.
