Amusement: Dive in to summertime fun at Water World
Saturday. Swimming season starts with a splash when Water World opens for the summer this weekend, just in time for the scorching months ahead. Rides range from mild to wild. Two new rides join the lineup this year: The Double Dare, the park’s latest speed-tube slide, and the Mile High Flyer, a “hydromagnetic water coaster” built for thrill junkies. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Aug. 13; variable hours follow through Sept. 3. Water World, 1800 W. 89th Ave., Federal Heights; 303-427-7873. Tickets are $39.99 for guests 48 inches tall and higher; $34.99 for kids 47 inches and shorter; $8.99 for seniors age 60 and older.
