One man was taken to the hospital this morning after a Denver garbage truck rear-ended another at a busy intersection.
The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Speer Boulevard.
The driver of the truck that rear-ended the other truck was freed from his mangled vehicle by firefighters, placed on a gurney and taken to a local hospital.
Details on his injuries were not available.
The two-truck accident caused delays on Lincoln, Speer and 6th Avenue, knotting rush hour traffic.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
