HYGIENE, Colo.—Prairie dogs have gotten a temporary reprieve after Boulder County sought assurance the land will be restored after the rodents are removed.

Neighbors told the county on Monday they believe Colorado Horse Rescue is reneging on promises to move the burrowing rodents instead of killing them.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), the group is violating an agreement to restore the land and move the prairie dogs.

The group says it cannot find anyone to relocate the rodents.
