DENVER—A man was injured when part of a tree blew down and fell onto a train car during the Georgetown Loop Railroad tour in Clear Creek County.

Railroad spokesman Tom Hill tells The Denver Post ( ) the top portion of the tree fell on the last car of the train shortly after 11:30 a.m. Saturday during the first tour of the day. The falling timber was about 5 inches in diameter and hit an open car that can hold up to 40 people.

The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Hill says the tree was pushed off the car and the conductor continued the tour, which runs between Silver Plume and Georgetown.

Gusty winds are predicted across the state Saturday.
