Denver police are investigating the death of a 55-year-old man — the third person to have been apparently shot and killed in less than a day.

Around 7:15 this morning, officers were called to a home at 5015 W. Alaska Place, on a report of a suspicious death, said Detective John White, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

Police could not say if the man’s death was in linked to Friday’s fatal shooting that left two young men dead in east Denver.

At the house, officers discovered the body of a man who appeared to have been shot and killed.

The man’s name has not been released.

Police did not say why the death was originally called suspicious, or if anyone else was at the home.
