COLORADO SPRINGS — A high-flying drama lasted nearly two hours before rescue crews reached a climbing clinging to a tree branch on Blodgett Peak saturday.

Rescuers were called to the peak just after 2:30 p.m. when hikers reported spotting a climber in trouble at the 6,500-foot level of the 9,423-foot granite prow in northwest Colorado Springs.

Rescuers said the man was clinging to a branch on a steep slope. Rappelling recuers reached the man at 4:30 p.m. and roped him down to safety. The man was uninjured.
