BOULDER, Colo.—The Boulder County coroner has identified the man killed by a gunshot at a campground near Allenspark over the weekend, but the cause and manner of his death are still under investigation.

The Daily Camera reports ( ) Coroner Emma Hall on Wednesday identified the man as 24-year-old David Munoz-Tarin, of Denver. Authorities initially said he was from Thornton.

He was shot in the face around 1:15 a.m. Monday at the Olive Ridge campground northwest of Boulder.

Sheriff’s officials say he had been camping and shooting guns with friends at the campground, but it wasn’t immediately clear who fired the fatal shot.

Investigators have said there is no suspicion of foul play.
