Denver police said today they have arrested a 28-year-old Osman Amhed Omar, who is suspected in a string of cell phone thefts from women’s purses in two bars in downtown Denver.
His booking photo was not released, as police continue to investigate phone thefts.
“Thieves are constantly looking for opportunities to steal,” Denver police said in a media release. “The best way to protect yourself is to minimize those opportunities. Due to their growing popularity, cell phones are fast becoming a favorite target of thieves.”
