BOULDER, Colo.—Students at the University of Colorado are hoping to help astronauts get better meals.
Students and faculty experts are working on robots that can control on-board gardens to provide fresh food, unlike the pre-packaged fare they bring with them. Advisers say the program could also help the handicapped and the elderly.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), the new food could include spinach, carrots, tomatoes, strawberries and cabbages.
