COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The sister of a Colorado Springs man who drowned in Skagway Reservoir says he was a hard-working roofer who loved to fish.
Teller County Coroner Al Born says 28-year-old Brian Anderson wasn’t wearing a life jacket when his canoe capsized in the reservoir Thursday. His body was recovered Saturday from water that was about 25 feet deep.
Anderson’s sister Nichole Moore tells The Gazette ( ) that Anderson had gone to Teller County to celebrate his birthday and meet friends for camping.
Moore says Anderson graduated from Lewis-Palmer High School in Monument, where he played football and was on the wrestling team.
