A bullet-riddled body discovered in a South Denver back alley has prompted a homicide investigation by police.
The dead man, who has yet to be identified, was discovered around 6:11 a.m. today in the 1200 block alley between South Quieto Way and South Raritan Street.
“It appears, at this early stage of the investigation, that the victim’s body may have been placed in the alley sometime after the crime was committed,” Denver police said in a statement.
The cause of death and the victim’s identity will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
