BELLVUE, Colo.—Firefighters are concerned about new red flag fire warnings as more people evacuated by a large wildfire in northern Colorado return home.
The high fire danger warnings go into effect at noon Friday and could last through the weekend.
Residents of Poudre (kash-luh-POO’-dur) Park were allowed back Thursday. The fire is burning on more than 68,000 acres west of Fort Collins and is 55 percent contained.
The fire has destroyed at more than 190 homes and is blamed for one death.
Some evacuation orders have also been lifted near a 1,150-acre fire near Lake George. That fire is 57 percent contained.
