GREELEY — Shortly after bonding out of Weld County Jail on allegations of sexually assaulting a teenage boy, a Greeley woman was rearrested after a second alleged victim came forward.

Greeley police Sgt. Susan West said Friday that police re-arrested Lynne Collette Freeman, 38, at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. The accuser in the second instance is 16, West said.

Freeman was originally arrested Wednesday after a 14-year-old boy told them she had sexually assaulted him while he visited Freeman’s daughter at her house in April.

Both boys are friends and members of University High School baseball teams. The boys knew Freeman’s daughter. Freeman, a stay-at-home mom, also was a parent volunteer at the school.

In court Friday, Weld District Court Judge Timothy Kerns raised her bail to $50,000 and prohibited her from contact with anyone under the age of 18, even her daughters, 13 and 7.

“The information in this second case causes the court some added concern in terms of predatory acts asserted in the affidavit,” said Kerns, who set Freeman’s bail at $25,000 Thursday in the first case. “There are some community-safety aspects that are more acute in this affidavit.”

Freeman’s attorney, Jerry Manzer, said in court that Freeman maintains her innocence in both matters.

“My client is presumed innocent, and she maintains her innocence, and she denies these new allegations and the allegations yesterday,” Manzer said.

In the second case, the 16-year-old boy reported two encounters, West said, one in late May in a vehicle at a park in west Greeley. He told police that he and Freeman kissed and fondled each other.

The second instance, the teen said, was this month in a basement bedroom of the Freeman home.
