Anthem Memory Care of Portland, Ore., is building a 76-bed residence in Littleton for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The facility will be located at 6767 S. Broadway and will begin leasing in December. It is expected to open in the second quarter of 2013 .
The community, known as Highline Place, will be a 37,500 square-foot facility designed for residents with cognitive impairment.
Anthem said that it intends to expand its presence in the Denver metropolitan area with as many as three more communities located in the inner suburban areas to “meet the needs of the rapidly growing and underserved population of memory care patients.”
In May, Anthem and LTC Properties, Inc., entered into a lease agreement and development commitment totaling approximately $10 million for the purchase of land and construction of Highline Place.
Chris Cowan, principal for ARA National Land Services Team in Denver, represented Anthem in the land acquisition.
