DURANGO, Colo.—A natural gas compression station remains closed after a line rupture killed one person and left two others seriously injured.

The accident occurred Monday morning at a facility owned by BP near Durango. BP says a crew was performing pipeline maintenance at the time.

A company spokeswoman says it is too soon to know the extent of the damage or how long the plant might be shut down.
