San Diego-based Seirus, more known as a ski-accessory company, is providing sun protection for golfers as well.
Their Quick Shade caps with sewn-in SunDanas — a patented Seirus product — provide excellent UV protection and deflect UV exposure from water, sand and even grass. The SunThing neck scarf also provides additional protection, especially for people with UV-sensitive skin. The Skin Cancer Foundation has backed these products with some interesting numbers. Professional golfers receive, on average, 217 times more UV radiation than the average person. Amateur or recreational golfers are exposed to three to four times the UV exposure.
