CARBONDALE, Colo.—Dissecting frogs, yes. Rats, maybe. But summer schools students in Carbondale dissected a bear while attending summer school this week.

Students were excited for the rare opportunity on Wednesday and called it a good learning experience.

According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent ( ), state Parks and Wildlife officers euthanized the 150-pound bear and delivered it to the school.

The bear was killed after it was reported to authorities for breaking into cabins and a restaurant near Dotsero.
