Some of the nation’s top bicyclists will ride this year in the annual Newmont Bike MS in hopes of earning $3.6 million for Multiple Sclerosis research.
Alexi Grewal, and Olympic gold medalist in road cycling, and Alison Powers, a top U.S. professional female cyclist, will participate in the two-day, 150 mile event sponsored by Great West Life.
A sea of bicyclists are scheduled to set off Saturday from the Front Range Community College campus in Westminster. They will ride to Fort Collins Saturday and will return to Westminster on Sunday.
This is the 27th year for the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter. The event provides money for research and funding for 88,000 people affected by MS in Colorado and Wyoming.
