Cake Boss coming to Paramount
We didn’t used to go to theaters to see food-related personalities, you know, in person. But that was before the rise of reality-TV-star chefs and best-selling authors such as Michael Pollan, who can fill a stately old movie house very well, thank you.
The latest to announce a date in the metro area is Buddy Valastro, the eponymous man-in-charge of , which began its fifth season earlier this year. He visits Denver’s Paramount Theatre July 13.
Valastro, below — who last hit the Paramount in November 2010 — is still running and presumably gathering recipes (and experiences) for his next book.
His “Bakin’ With the Boss” live tour is an interactive, family-friendly event in which Valastro will “share the stories behind his hit TV series and his colorful Italian family, answer audience questions and give a live demonstration of the techniques that have made him one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the nation,” according to a press release.
Valastro will even invite audience members to join the fun on stage, so be sure your best baking whites are pressed and ready to go.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are available via or by calling 303-534-6773 (toll free: 866-461-6556).
They’ll set you back $37.75-$47.75, plus applicable service charges. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $75, which includes a post-show meet and greet. John Wenzel, blogs.denverpost.com/food
